Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how paid Swungo subscriptions are billed, how they renew, how to cancel, and when refunds are and are not available. It is part of, and should be read together with, the Swungo Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; if there is any conflict about billing, cancellation, or refunds, this Policy controls. Swungo is a creator-analytics tool that surfaces performance metrics over publicly available short-form video data. It is operated by Swungo ("Swungo", "we", "us", "our"), and payments are handled by our third-party payment provider, our payment provider.

1. Free tier and paid plans

Swungo offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. The free tier gives you access to the top 5 trending reels at no cost, requires no payment method, and involves no billing or cancellation — you can simply stop using it at any time. Paid plans (for example, our individual creator plan and our multi-seat agency plan) unlock the full Top-50 board, downloads, trending audio, and saved favorites. This Policy applies only to paid subscriptions; there is nothing to refund or cancel on the free tier.

2. How billing works

Paid plans are supplied by Swungo and are billed and processed by our third-party payment provider, together with its payment partners. Our payment provider acts solely as our payment processor and merchant-of-record services provider — it is not the seller, supplier, or licensor of the Swungo service, and it does not control the analytics data we show. Charges may appear on your bank or card statement under the billing descriptor shown to you at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number; card details are handled by our payment provider under its own terms and privacy policy.

3. Auto-renewing subscriptions and trials

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis for the billing period you select at checkout (for example, monthly or annual). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price for your plan, and we will charge your saved payment method at the start of each new period until you cancel. If a plan is offered with a free trial or introductory price, we disclose at checkout when the trial ends, what you will be charged when it converts, and how to cancel before that charge. The price, the billing frequency, and the fact that the plan renews automatically until cancelled are shown to you at checkout, next to the subscribe button, before you provide payment information. Starting a paid plan (or a trial that converts to a paid plan) is your express, affirmative agreement to these recurring charges.

4. How to cancel

You can cancel at any time — there is no cancellation fee and no phone call required. Because you signed up online, you can cancel online through the same account. You may cancel yourself from your Swungo account settings, or through the billing portal linked in your purchase receipt and on your account page. For multi-seat (agency) plans, the account owner who set up billing manages cancellation for the subscription. If you have any trouble cancelling, email [email protected] and we will help promptly.

5. What happens when you cancel

When you cancel, your cancellation stops all future renewals and you will not be charged again for that subscription. Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for, and then your account reverts to the free tier. Cancelling partway through a period does not, by itself, trigger a refund for the remaining days of that period, except where Section 6 or applicable law provides otherwise.

6. Refund window

If you are not happy with a paid plan, contact [email protected] within 7 days of your initial purchase, or within 7 days of a renewal charge, and we will review your request in good faith. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Duplicate charges and charges that are clearly erroneous are refunded in full. Refund requests made outside this window are considered at our reasonable discretion, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Submitting a request does not by itself guarantee a refund, and nothing in this Section promises a specific outcome beyond the mandatory rights described in Sections 7 and 11.

7. Digital access and non-refundable fees

Swungo delivers analytics access, downloads, and the trending board digitally and immediately after purchase. Once the window in Section 6 has passed, fees already charged for the current period are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or expressly provided in this Policy. Where the law gives you a mandatory withdrawal or cancellation right for digital content or services, that right always applies regardless of anything in this Policy. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction (such as the EU/EEA or the UK) with a statutory cooling-off/withdrawal period, that period applies unless you ask us to begin providing the service immediately and acknowledge that, by doing so, you lose the withdrawal right once performance has begun — this consent is captured at checkout.

8. Price changes

We will give you advance notice before any change to your subscription price takes effect, so you can decide whether to continue or cancel before your next renewal. If you do not cancel before the change takes effect, your next renewal will be charged at the new price. Notices are sent to the email associated with your account or shown in the Service.

9. Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, or you are unhappy with a charge, please contact [email protected] before opening a card dispute or chargeback. We can almost always resolve billing issues faster and more directly than the card-dispute process, including by issuing an eligible refund. Opening a dispute does not speed up a valid refund. As described in our Terms of Service, we may suspend or terminate accounts associated with abusive or fraudulent chargeback activity; this does not affect any genuine dispute right you have with your card issuer.

10. Failed or missed payments

If a renewal payment fails, our payment provider may retry the charge and we may temporarily limit paid features during a short grace period until payment succeeds. If payment still cannot be collected, your subscription may lapse to the free tier. Keeping a valid payment method on file helps avoid interruptions to your paid access. We will not charge you after you have cancelled.

11. Your consumer rights

Nothing in this Policy limits or waives any refund, cancellation, or withdrawal right that you have and that cannot be waived under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you, including, where applicable, U.S. automatic-renewal laws (such as ROSCA and the California Automatic Renewal Law) and EU/EEA or UK consumer-protection rules. If a term of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right you hold, that legal right prevails.

12. Where your data and media are handled

To operate paid subscriptions we work with service providers acting as our processors, including our payment provider (payments), Cloudflare (content delivery, R2 object storage, and Turnstile bot-protection), Resend (transactional email such as receipts and password resets), and Hetzner (hosting, with servers in the EU/Germany). Reel videos and thumbnails shown in the product are re-hosted in Cloudflare R2 and served privately to signed-in subscribers through short-lived links; they are not sold and not made publicly indexable. How we handle your personal information, including any international transfers, is described in our Privacy Policy. Content-removal requests are handled under our DMCA Policy.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version with a new 'Last updated' date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service. Changes apply to renewals and purchases made after the change takes effect; continued use of a paid plan after that point means you accept the updated Policy. Changes do not reduce refund or cancellation rights that already applied to a purchase you made before the change.

14. Contact us and governing law

Questions about billing, cancellations, or refunds? Email [email protected]. For privacy requests, contact [email protected]; for copyright or content-removal notices, contact our designated agent at [email protected]. Please reach out to [email protected] before disputing a charge so we can help resolve it directly. This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and consistent with the governing-law section of our Terms of Service. [PLACEHOLDER — Swungo and its state of formation are not yet finalized; confirm that the governing-law state matches the operating entity's jurisdiction before launch. This governing-law choice does not override the mandatory consumer rights in Section 11.]
